TAE Dual Diploma – Rose Training talks training, vocational education, and our diploma courses
The Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE Dual Diploma) reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within a Registered Training Organisation within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. The Diploma provides you with opportunities to expand your knowledge in training design, preparation and delivery. It goes into extensive detail in areas of assessment and needs analysis, crucial in determining the type of training individuals require and how to be the most effective trainer for your students.
The TAE50111 Diploma of vocational education and training is most often completed as part of the Dual Diploma of TAE (This is a double diploma in Vocational Education and Training, and Training Design and Development). This dual diploma is a comprehensive training course, expanding on what is trained in the Training and Assessment Certificate IV.
The Diploma of Vocational education and training OR its counterpart the Diploma of training design and development will be a must have by 2017, when ASQA standards require assessors of the TAE40110 to hold at least on TAE diploma.
Trainer Gary Rose says that the Diploma in Training and Assessment will soon become a must have for any trainers who train the Certificate IV in TAE.
“I have had a ball training these diplomas, and we have devised a way to deliver both qualifications in one block of time. We’ve already had fantastic stories where course participants have been able to increase their work opportunities by doing this course. One participant told her Saturday class with pride how she conducted a training needs analysis on a company and used the skills obtained through the course to carry out this activity with confidence and in a way that could potentially give her continued work for the future. Seeing success like this is one of the highlights of training the course, for me. It’s that added icing on the cake that makes this course so valuable.’’
The training is delivered holistically, and in such a way that case studies and scenario based assessment allow for real-life understanding. Week one takes you on a journey of organisation training-needs analysis, where students can work out - from beginning to end – what is required to enhance organisational outcomes through directed training strategies. Week two takes you into the realms of compliance, validation, professional development and enhanced training and assessment practices.
Whether someone is looking to move into a training management role, or become a lead trainer or even an RTO owner, the TAE Dual Diploma will give you the experience and tools to lead a group in a professional and compliant way. It is robust! It should be! This is a challenging course, and a very rewarding one. We are very proud of it, and we welcome you to join us in this education journey to boost your skillset, and kick-start your career.
